Our Sports Betting the Net seminar was held in Melbourne on the 17th
May 2005 and focussed on the proposed new 'Bookies online' service and the new
sportsbetting licenses.
Representatives from a number of leading Victorian bookmakers attended the seminar, which
also heard a short opening address from long-time Herald-Sun senior racing writer, Brian Meldrum.
Australian eCommerce Network Network chairman, Stewart Carter, then briefed the seminar on the latest developments in the racing industry
affecting the likely success of the proposed new service.
He also outlined an official position on the new sportsbetting licenses from Racing Victoria.
